Jessica Welsh, MS, CCC-SLP
Pre-Health Program Coordinator
Bio
Jesica Welsh is an ASHA-certified and New York State-licensed speech-language pathologist with clinical experience working in a variety of healthcare settings. Prior to joining the Marist staff as Pre-Health Program Coordinator, she was a faculty member in the Communication Disorders department at SUNY New Paltz, where she worked with undergraduate and graduate students as they navigated health-related career pathways. Before that, she was the education and outreach coordinator at the Adler Aphasia Center, a non-profit organization for people with aphasia secondary to stroke, brain injury, or progressive neurological disease, where she developed educational offerings for healthcare providers and students in the community, coordinated professional continuing education workshops, and presented work at national and international conferences.
The common thread across Jessica’s clinical, educational, and administrative work is a commitment to helping people find pathways so they can make meaningful contributions and can build connections with others. She looks forward to supporting Marist students as they plan for rewarding careers in healthcare.
Outside of work, Jessica can be found cheering on her family from soccer field sidelines and pool bleachers, trying new recipes, seeing live music, or puttering in the garden.
